Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Top Table web or desktop tabletop application. By using Top Table, you agree to use it responsibly and only for lawful tabletop play and related campaign preparation.
Your account
You are responsible for activity under your Top Table account and for keeping passwords, recovery information, sign-in links, and session credentials private. Provide information you are authorized to use, and promptly contact fz.demandred@gmail.com if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
Acceptable use
You must not use Top Table to:
- break the law, threaten or harass others, exploit another person, or share content you are not permitted to share;
- upload malware or deliberately harmful files, probe or bypass account and table access controls, impersonate another person, or attempt to take over another table;
- disrupt the service, overload it, automate abusive traffic, interfere with another group's play, or misuse provider sign-in and storage connections; or
- publish another person's private information without permission.
Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to protect users, tables, providers, or the service from abuse or a security threat.
Your campaign content
You keep whatever rights you already hold in campaign text, characters, messages, images, audio, PDFs, and other material you add. You give Top Table only the permission needed to process, store, copy, and transmit that material to operate the features you choose, including sharing it with authorized participants in your table. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for the material you add.
Other participants may receive table content on their own devices. Removing an account or cloud copy cannot recall copies already shared to another participant. Back up campaign material you cannot replace.
Storage and connected providers
Top Table can keep campaign copies on a game master's device and can use private Google Drive app-data storage after explicit consent. Google, Discord, X, Meta, and Steam connections are optional and are also governed by those providers' terms. Provider availability, permissions, and access can change outside Top Table's control. Disconnecting Google Drive does not delete its Top Table files unless you explicitly choose the delete option.
Rules packages and third-party material
Some game-system references, libraries, software components, or other material are provided under separate open or third-party licenses identified with that material. Those licenses continue to apply. Top Table does not give you rights to third-party material beyond the rights its owner or applicable license provides.
Playtest availability and data safety
Top Table is currently provided for playtesting and may contain defects, change, or be temporarily unavailable. Features, connected providers, file limits, and supported platforms may change as testing continues. The service is provided on an “as available” basis without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular campaign.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Top Table is provided without warranties. Nothing in these terms limits a right or remedy that applicable law does not allow to be limited. You remain responsible for keeping appropriate local or exported backups of important content.
Stopping use and deletion
You may stop using Top Table at any time. Follow the User Data Deletion Instructions to request removal of a cloud account and associated data. Device-local and user-owned Google Drive copies have separate deletion steps described there.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the playtest and service change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Questions about these terms can be sent to fz.demandred@gmail.com.
